I have a 13 year old male named Taz. He’s been the ruler of the roost his whole life. I wanted to get him some company after his sister and aunt died, so I adopted a rescue cat. Bandit is a 7 year old male, polydactyl with a slightly crippled front leg. I’d never tried to integrate two adults before. So I turned to Marci.
She helped me understand what was happening with each of the different animals, and advised patience, above all. We worked out techniques and established routines. One of the most important adjustments was mine: have reasonable expectations. And remember, they’re cats, not children!
I’m a cat person, and I’m patient. And with Marci’s help, I now have two very different cats, sharing my house with me, and bringing me joy.
