Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between a minor issue and a complicated one?
Any time more than one cat is involved or if there’s more than one issue of concern, things get more complicated and require more time and patience to resolve. If you need help determining which consult would be appropriate for your situation, please contact our team. If you just can’t decide, we highly recommend booking a standard consult to see if you click with one of our consultants – you can always upgrade to a full consultation later.

I'm getting ready to adopt a new cat/kitten, and I want to get started right, do you have a service for that?
Yes, please choose the full-service consultation package. We can help you integrate your new cat or kitten into your household successfully. If you are at the very beginning of your cat adoption journey, and just need some guidance on where to start, and what to consider, we can help you with the standard consultation.
I'm not in the Portland/Vancouver area, can you help me?
Yes! We work with clients all over the world via Zoom video conferencing. Please reach out to our team if you have any concerns.
What if my cat's behavior doesn't change?
Cats are animals, and we have a limited amount of control over their behavior. Many undesirable cat behaviors take time and patience to correct – some are resolved more easily and quickly than others. There are a number of factors that can affect this, including your cat, the amount of time you can dedicate to resolving the issue, and many other aspects of your situation. But don’t worry if you need more than the three sessions included in the full-service package; that service can be extended in 30-day increments (including email support and another zoom meeting) if you need more time.

What Others Are Saying
Teddy and Fiona
Our male cat (Teddy) was pulling out his hair due to boredom, he was also chasing our female cat (Fiona) a lot. They were not getting proper stimulation and we were desperate. Dr. Marci taught us SO MUCH. Teddy's hair is now growing back and he stopped overgrooming,...
Wren and Lee
Marci is the best cat behaviorist in the world. We enlisted Marci’s help with our two adopted cats. Both were rescues; one was feral when we brought him home. Although both cats bonded with us, two years down the road they were still having problems getting along with...
Spicey’D and Puff Daddy
My new kitten, Puff Daddy, would jump on resident Spicey'D and beat her up at night when we would be cuddling on the bed. He would also latch onto her with his teeth. I thought I had to re-home him and I probably came close to driving Marci nuts with my fear of not...
